This is an admissions recruitment pamphlet written by Maine Central Institute's principal, Professor Frederick U. Landman. Professor Landon served as an MCI teacher from 1898 until 1900 and MCI's principal from 1900 until 1913 and oversaw a period of great growth for the School.

When Landman assumed the position of principal in 1900, the School had seventy students and five academic teachers. When he left in 1913, MCI boasted two hundred and fifty students and twelve teachers. Also during his time, the girls' dormitory, now known as Alumni Hall, was constructed.
